Meet Next Level - Our New Diesel Mega Truck

At Pela Motorsports we are passionate about off-roading and diesel performance. While in the process of building his new mega truck, our friend, Jason Sasser contacted us about the possibility of using a Duramax Diesel for his power plant. We knew the possibility was real, and that we had the resources to make it happen. His truck the “Milk Man” was an instant hit and stellar performer.

We had so much fun with this project that we just had to build our own version. When Mud life magazine presented us with the opportunity to do a mega truck build off, we decided it was time to take it to the “Next Level”.

We started with a 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD donor truck. With help from Dennis Ruegger and Jason Sasser, the custom chassis was built, utilizing rock well 2.5 ton axles with 4 link suspension and Dan Patrick Nitrogen shocks. The twin turbo LBZ Duramax engine was mounted in the rear of the truck and linked to a 4R100 4-speed automatic transmission and a custom billet transfer case. The axles were fitted with 8-lug hubs, and 14.9x24 tractor tires on custom wheels. The result was …………………………….Awesome!

We’d like to give a huge thanks to all of our sponsors and supporters:
